There are so many reasons as to why I enjoy art. For the “wow factor” or my own satisfaction everything about art is why I love it. From ceramics to abstract and other art forms, I try my best to be well rounded. I first started ceramics in 9th grade and just this year I moved to honors art. I really wanted to try something new. I like to try new things in art as in life. When it come to art there are no “right” answers. Art is a universal hobby shared all over the world. Different styles wherever you go, is what makes art so special. You don’t have to be the most athletic or the smartest to make art; anyone can make art.
What I am most thankful for and appreciative of when it comes to art is how free spirited it is. Art for me is a way to relieve stress and a way for me to get away and not have to worry about anything else. You don’t have to become a “professional,” and show your art to the world to judge. You can very easily just do create for yourself and do what makes you happy. It doesn’t have to be about what others want to see, but about what you feel strongly about.
The person I make art for is myself. Of course I take into considration advice of others, but in the end I know I can do whatever I want. In the end that is what I as an artist am all about.
