4th marking period, I am going to continue to throw on the wheel, but focus on a different glazing technique. Instead of dipping my pots into glaze, I will work on using underglaze to design my pots and then I will clear glaze them.

Once the third Marking period starts and I am allowed use the wheel again I am going t0 start throwing almost every day

I plan on taking a break from throwing on the wheel and creating sculpture and other pieces by hand. Getting away from throwing for a while will be good for me, and give me a chance to work on other skills.

I am still making bowls with lids. My objection is to have a solid collection of them, and master the technique of having making too bowls the right size in order to have the lid fit correctly.
11/13/09
To begin the 2nd MP, I plan to work on making bowls with lids. I feel that adding a lid adds another source of visual attractiveness to it, and I want to learn to master another form of pottery.
10/11/09
Since my production hasn’t been up to speed, I want to make 40 pots by the end of October. I feel that with this challenge I will learn more about throwing on the wheel.
9/21/09
Now that I have shaken some of the rust off from over the summer, I am going to alternate throwing with bigger pieces and smaller pieces of clay to test out different shapes and forms of pots. From a large plate to a little coffee mug, I am going to try and conquer all appearances of pottery.
9/8/09
I am going to spend a majority of my time throwing on the wheel. I feel that I have grown to be very comfortable throwing and I want to create as many pieces as possible.
