3rd Marking Period
My last 3rd Marking period of my high school career. I feel that I learned a lot about myself as an artist this marking period. Working on surveillance pieces and drawing were definitely not my strong points going into the marking period. I feel that through working on drawing and capturing the still life every day, I improved my drawing skills tremendously. I am happy with my final surveillance project, and am interested in the new surveillance assignment for the 4th marking period.
In ceramics, I am throwing and completing more and more pieces. I am really excited to see how I present all my pieces at the art show in May. I am going to have to incorporate both my honors and portfolio work into one. I have so many pots, and I am satisfied with this marking periods work, considering a few minor set-backs.
2nd Marking Period
Another successful MP gone by, and I feel as though I am becoming more and more rounded as the days go by. What excites me about taking both ceramics and art classes is that I know I can always do something different in art. Ceramics is still fun, but I feel limited to what I can do. Art on the other hand I can come up with a hundred things to do by just looking around at the room and the other students in it. I have been producing good work and continue to do so. Completing assignments on time seems to be difficult for some, but I think I can handle it! I will continue to expand myself as an artist and try new things. I believe I have done that up to this point and that’s why I feel I’ve earned an “A” for the 2nd MP
1st marking period!!!!!
10/29/09
I feel that this 1st marking period was a rather successful one. Now I am in both Honors Art and Portfolio Ceramics, I feel that I can get a taste of more than just one side of the art world. Completeing all my assignments as of right now and being the only ceramics student to do so is a pretty good accomplishment for me. In ceramics, I have been throwing almost every day and improving as each day goes by. In the art room, its a whole other world, yet I love it. I am finally getting used to the thought process and how to explain your art through words. I never had to explain my work in ceramics, I just kinda did it. I like having the experience of both styles of art. I am happy with my progress through the 1st marking period so far and I feel that I deserve an “A”
